Stupid Question – How do you add a picture to a forum post?

I am normally a bright guy and I am sure I am going to feel stupid when someone tells me how easy it is.

It is quite easy you use a normal html < img src="link to the picture" >

Without the spaces before and after the "<"

And if it is a large image add width="520" to keep it within the comment border.

If it's your own image you need to be able to upload it somewhere first, then put the link to it inside the src="" attribute inside the <img /> tag as Shynlara explained. A completed image tag would be

<img src="http://www.somewebsite.com/someimage.jpg" width="520" />

I tried that, but I did not have any waterproof tape and they kept falling off.

If it's a pic from a site like Ebaums you will need to save the pic and then host it yourself or use a service like photodump before linking to the hosted image here.

Please be aware of copyright and fair use issues.
