Who's Played "Dive to the Titanic" gmae on Steam?

Is it any good? Would like to try it if it ever goes on a steam sale.

Apparantly all you get is just the front part of the ship, and it's not all that great.

Hi,
I actually bought the boxed version of that game. It has been done mostly by 2 brothers, so the content is quite limited. It is a quite frustrating game, and using a walkthrough can help (only 1 available from gamefaq). As said it is only a part of the titanic (but more than only the front part, if I remember well), but it is still quite big.
They got the ambiance right. Discovering the ship the first time is great, and having the small submarine going in is cool... Then inside the ship it starts to be less great. You see the same objects over and over again, all look the same, and the paths are blocked just to force you to find another way. Sometime you have to go to a ridiculously long way around because you could not go through one corridor...
The updates are not very useful too.
So it's not too bad, but definitively not a very good game. You can try it if you get it for a very low price, just for the pleasure of discovering the titanic for the first time... Then don't insist much more :)
World of Diving is really the first diving game made right, from what I have played.

I should add that even without the aft, it is still a huge ship, and that's very cool to slide aside it. The boxed version comes with a map, and it's visible online: http://www.tauchfahrtzurtitanic.de/map_final.jpg
From that discussion: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1664821 , it seems that the aft was simply not usable. And I remember seeing objects around and at least one boiler. So it's pretty massive still, and the exterior is very well done (actually the wreck itself more so than in WOD (exterior! Interior is very bad), but that's all)
From reading the steam forum, I also remembered the main issues, aside the monotonous interior. I also got the German version, so in German (well I live in Germany, but don't speak German yet). The gameplay is very frustrating. You have to use the robotic claws and they don't work well or fast. You have a unskippable tutorial to learn how to use them, that you will get again if you don't achieve the goal of a mission.

Sounds like a game worth it when on sale, I'll have to keep an eye on it I think

Well, just from the preview, I can see the WoD devs need to use some of the ideas about it for the Bismarck, like the rusticle encrusted hallways, railing, etc.; the silt covered surfaces, the darkness all around that is only illuminated by the lights, and the floating silt particles.

This forum is not a place for advertisements. Unless the topic is specifically about the Titanic game, keep all posts on the subject being discussed, not rambling about kids sports watches and where you can buy them.
